Samsung recently launched the S6 Active which almost comes with the same specifications with the standard S6. But it goes the more bigger battery capacity of 13.48Wh(3500mAh). But S6 9.81Wh / S6 Edge 10.01Wh.

I believe this thread belongs in regular S6 page but having owned the S6 yes I would advise the switch if you like the looks

I switched from the S6 to the G4 to the S6 Active. I'm keeping my S6 Active. The S6 was an amazing phone, but the battery was really awful. The G4 is also an amazing phone but it wasn't meant to be outdoors and I work outdoors. The S6 Active is the perfect phone for me. The phone can get wet, get immersed in sand, and be dropped to the ground and still survive. The S6/S6 edge would shatter if they fell. They would die in water. And their batteries don't last a whole day.

I agree I just purchased the s6 Active straight up specifically for work cause I grind out streets and repave them. However I still love my s6 edge and will continue to use it after work, on special occasions and on the weekends. Yes the battery is less but if you look thru the forums and type in s6 battery life tips you'll see my posted pics showing my s6 edge battery life which on average I would get 20-26 hours of total use with literally no standby drain maybe 1-2 percent for 9 hours of sleep and anywhere from 6 to 10 hours of on screen time depending on what I was doing with my phone that specific cycle. So far with my s6 Active I just set it up and been on it non stop. Pics below with all WiFi use the whole time downloading all my*apps*back etc.

I'm real new to the Active, only 7 hours, so I don't know all the ins and outs about it yet, however the one thing that I would have liked was a 128 internal memory on it.
