There are not that many, if any actual bugs. Sense is what it is, replace it with nova or go. In the root and Rom world, you always wipe your phone if you want to avoid problems ALWAYS. Some guys don't and most of the time they are fine, but every now and again, they eventually have to wipe.
I use the sense mail app for gmail, if that's what your getting at, and have never had the problem you are describing. But I don't use windows live, so I can't comment on that.
Third party launchers don't replace all stock apps and certainly one should not be expected to replace every stock app on a device that is buggy "cause they can." In any case, the issue isn't the launcher, it's the Apps. The stock apps. Tons of redundant apps are nothx, for obvious reasons.
Maybe it's fixed in the Rezound update. Mail App in the Vivid 3.6/4.0.3 update randomly (but almost always) reset the push settings for ActiveSync accounts to Poll every 1 hour during peak and Poll every 4 hours or something ridiculous during off-peak times. It was easily reproduceable by simply rebooting the phone after adding the account and setting it up, but happened randomly (often in short order) even without rebooting the phone. Additionally, it would randomly reset or change your app defaults (there's a setting in Sense 3.6 to set which apps are used for certain things by Default) so instead of opening up addresses in Maps, it was opening them up in Google Earth, and setting Chrome as the default browser when I clearly set the stock browser as Default.
I showed it to the AT&T person and they were more than happy to let me switch it out for a different model without paying the $35 restock fee (a fresh phone exhibited same issue).
I never bothered checking the Rezound cause I need more than a 2GB data allowance and CDMA fall-back is FTL.
Some of those Sense Bugs are like 2-3 years old, BTW.
I didn't say it was a showstopper, I said it was a bug. I'm pretty sure they shared much of the same code for both updates, so it's something to check up on...
Why would you use the Stock email app for GMail, when the Google app supports multiple accounts? Just curious? And are you using an ActiveSync connection for that GMail, or IMAP? If you're using IMAP, you won't see the issue I described, and you're probably (maybe) using default settings, anyways...
