The only phone I've seen come close to this is the iPhone 11 pro, seriously amazing battery life. I have the normal pro and that is significantly better than the Pixel 4XL I have. But, it's definitely not the standard for any phone.

the author is right about most of it. I share the same feeling it's not a bad phone but it stays in the drawer compared to my note 10+ and OnePlus 6t which I just find the experience much more enjoyable.

I'll say again after owning every Pixel, Pixel 4 XL is the best Pixel to date and has the best everyday experience compared to all the other older pixels. Obviously being the lastest Pixel it better be the best and to me it doesn't disappoint.

How much more better than pixel 3 xl? I only ask because I decided to go with pixel 3 xl just 2 weeks ago and I am happy I did. Unlimited full resolution photo and video storage was very important to me and pixel 3 xl has that until Feb 2022.

Also, camera sensor is the same, software the same so didn't really see why should I pay up for Pixel 4. The only thing different is the 90htz refresh rate and the added telephoto. In my opinion, that is not that big a difference when compared to pixel 3 xl. I am really just asking go get your take (that is if you actually used pixel 3 xl as you daily driver). How is pixel 4 xl a much better phone in your daily usage.

I'll tell you, my 3XL is freaking amazing! I mean sure it's got a little bit more RAM and processing power but with stock Android, you don't need it.

I can’t change the mind of folks who are against pixel 4 from day 1 without even using the phone. As I mentioned in the other thread Pixel 4 is better in literally every department compared to Pixel 3.

Display, battery (at least not worse than your 3 xl), performance, RAM (which was a big deal in Pixel 3 long term performance), build, design, no notch (XL only), additional camera. There is no pixel before that’s as smooth as the pixel 4 and overall bug free at launch compared to pixel 3. And i have had all the Pixels till date and you can easily make out how smoother the pixel 4 experience is if you use daily and all these improvements add up to a better overall experience.

As I have mentioned earlier the only negative is original quality pictures not available for free. But that’s nothing for me since I already pay for the cheap google one plan and if i want i can use the free high quality storage like its available on every other phone. Personally still use original quality uploads since I pay for Google One plan anyway because I want to store original quality pictures from my iPhone, Note and other phones along with the Pixel.

I understand people not liking the pixel experience all together and that’s perfectly fine.

You say Pixel 3 to Pixel 4 is not a big upgrade but you upgraded from Pixel 2 to Pixel 3 which is even more smaller upgrade or if you want to argue I’ll give it’s similar. And I absolutely without hesitation recommend the Pixel 4 over Pixel 3 now that Pixel 4 has various sales. Sure i don’t recommend at full price, but that’s not only for the 4 and i don’t recommend any Android phone for full price unless you are that early adopter. Wait for a sale.

I am not against pixel 4. When I compared both to make my decision, pixel 3 XL for the price and free unlimited full resolution storage came on top. I don't doubt pixel 4 xl is probably the "best" pixel yet, but Google failed to convince me to give them more of my money when I was able to snatch a mint pixel 3 xl for $350.

Been using it for 20 days now and it is one kick butt phone. Android 10 most of pixel 4 software features ported back to pixel 3s. I'm pretty happy.

Will sit tight until Pixel 5 to see what Google bring to the table and if they convince me to upgrade my Pixel 3 xl. Looking at it differently, maybe I am over this yearly cycle upgrade. I used to every year and for so long. I think that phase is past for me. Simply just not enough advancement from one year to another. Today's phone could easily make it 2 years before needing an upgrade. EASILY

I agree with you. The pixel 3 XL is a great great Google phone. Especially, with the unlimited cloud storage at original photo resolution. And with the price drop from Google or carriers, there's no reason not to buy it.

Oh I'll tell you, the 3XL is that much faster, and the screen is brighter and sharper. Plus the battery lasts longer.

Yeah, absolutely true. I swear, most of these reviewer's are all the same. The 4 xl has very good battery life and great overall user experience. Same experience as my 3xl has been. No complaints here whatsoever!
