Wtf happened to On Tap?

One of my favorite features is gone! Why? I tried sharing a screenshot by holding the home button but don't the option anymore.

Wtf your right! I loved that feature! Between that and the Google Voice beep that was changed to vibrate I'm pissed. Why do companies mess with settings if they work?!?!

Are you referring specifically to sharing a screen shot or are saying on tap as a whole is gone? Because I can still use on tap. So I'm assuming you mean the share feature.

It's on AC's homepage stating that Google On Tap for using a Screenshot has been removed. On Tap is still there.

on tap works for me on 90X. Just hold the home button there is no switch in settings

I still have the screenshot share on my 6P. I have NBD90X, Oct. security update. OnTap works for me, with some neat added capabilities.

I don't use Now OnTap often, they may be add-ons that came with Nougat. You can also see my Share button is still there...

Edit, I AM on the beta channel for the Google app, which may explain the extra items I see but doesn't explain why I'd still have the share button if it's being removed..

I took myself out of the beta a few days ago, and the share option is now gone. I haven't done any updates since however...

They pulled it in the latest main branch version of the Google app... 6.5. But it's back in the 6.6 beta branch.

Why? Only Google knows. But it'll be back soon enough.
