Just downloaded the Apps 2 sd app.
I got a wierd message that there is no external storage. Posted pic of the message? Does it really mean you cant store apps on sd card? wtf. This is just wrong. Why? Is this for real

Posted my storage results.
Also post your storage results?
What am I using 6gbs of miscellaneous stuff? What is it? I only had the phone for a week? I never used that much memory on my old phone htc thunderbolt.
How does your memory look?

I think basically what the OEM's are intending the micro sd cards to be used for is media, primarily music and pictures. Everything else I think they are intending we either store in the cloud or on the phone itself.

This issue has nothing to do with Samsung or the Note 2 specifically, but rather the way Google has designed their Jelly Bean OS.

No Android phone you buy with an OS after Gingerbread will allow apps to be moved to the sd.

It worked on your Thunderbolt because that's an older phone, using an older OS.

There are articles on Android Central, and other forums that discuss this issue in depth.

I still use app2sd to clear cache on s3 (and note2 when I get it) and also to see the biggest app files.

So this phone is going to fill up and show down rather quickly from adding apps ? Sounds not cool

this is something i've found super annoying about ics and was hoping they would change with jelly bean but no luck........come on google this is big for all of us!!!!!

Doesn't the app install on the internal memory but automatically move app data to the card if it's more than a gig?

No it doesn't.

Google is the reason for the change, so they are not going to be the solution unless they do a 180. Search for some threads on here about it, there are tons

Plus if u are rooted u can use your SD card as internal storage instead of external

2gb of ram... I just saw my ram was using 1.6 gb and I don't even have that much running.

A fair amount of OS related stuff runs in the background regardless. And some apps always have something running in order to sync (even if syncing is turned off) such as Facebook. Add to this the bloatware of a carrier branded phone (gee, thanks AT&T) and that 2 GB of RAM disappears quickly. I went in and stopped and disabled all of the AT&T apps and the live wallpapers and such which helps quite a bit.

It's an Android thing, not the fault of your Note 2. Google killed this feature starting with the Jellybean OS.
