I have my Xiaomi 14 Ultra just over a week now........absolutely amazing device ( my first Xiaomi)

Does the battery life improve with time.......after a few weeks of charge cycles??

That depends. With moderate use, you should get about 2 days use on a charge. Some battery life testing info can be found at GSM Arena HERE.

I assume most of the battery drain tests would be performed on new devices?

I'm after coming from an Asus Zenfone 10......and that little beast could manage 9 hours SOT.

I'm not disappointed with the battery life on the Ultra.....I would like the SOT to be a bit better.
It's currently getting around 6 hours.

It makes a huge difference whether it's at the weekend or during the working week.

Just above 50% left.....but I have been in the house all day, not connected to my car, android auto or any other Bluetooth devices.

Just browsing my socials, connected to my Wi-Fi.

Hoping the new software coming soon might make some improvements on the battery front.

Although considering everything is turned up to the max......it's doing OK I suppose.

Guys.....am I the only Xiaomi 14 Ultra still stuck on HyperOS 1 and November '24 security???

Xiaomi support are the opposite of helpful......just telling me to "be patient"

Infuriating.

Little update....

I'm in Ireland (most of our electronic and auto stuff is supplied through UK supply lines) so even though I bought the phone from a large, reputable retailer.....I changed my region from Ireland to United Kingdom (difficult for me as I am a proud Irish man).....within minutes an available update appeared.

I am now on HyperOS 2,Android 15 and Jan '25 security.

After extensive interaction with Xiaomi Support.....not once was this suggested.

In future, when buying a Xiaomi phone....I'll set the region to United Kingdom

That's interesting, but not too surprising I guess.
While I'm Irish I've been in the UK a long time and have no contacts in Eire. I bought two phones on Mi UK in 2020. Pretty happy with the one I kept.

Yeah, the phone was bought in Harvey Norman.....and I'm fairly sure that would be UK stock.

I, being in Ireland .....when I was setting it up....chose Ireland as my region.

As soon as I changed the region to the UK .....the software update beeped in.

I genuinely think that it's something that the sales staff should be aware of....and advise customers accordingly.

People buying high end phones with no contract on full retail price are normally going to be "tech" people.
