So far, the XO skin is "OK". The fit is absolutely perfect (bought the case cut). The application was actually amazingly easy. I had no problems putting it on, despite this being my first wet application. Only if I hold it exactly right in fluorescent lighting and look really closely can I see any kind of orange peel. The reason I'm only 1/2 enthused about it is due to the feel. It has, to me, what feels like a softness about it. Gummy. If it didn't have that, then it wouldn't be able to repair itself after a scratch or whatever, so I get that.
I'm hoping it will harden a little bit more, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm one of those OCD people who really like the hard glass feel, and I don't think this will get close enough for me to "stick with it" (sorry for the pun).
I feel like you and I have a lot in common. Thanks for your thoughts.
peeled off my xo skin. it negatively affected the touch sensitivity, felt very rubbery, and left the screen grainy. no bubbles, installed correctly.
i've since put on the stienhiel oleophobic. much better. has none of those shortfalls.
I have to say that I am less than impressed with the XO Skin. I have some slight complaints with sensitivity after 5 days it is still rubbery feeling, not terrible but noticeable. I can live with that, what I can't live with is the skin is not self healing. Pulled phone out of my pocket and noticed 3 faint scrathes in the skin that won't come out even after buffing with a microfiber cloth sprayed with the application solution. I am leaning towards pulling the skin off and going back to naked glass at this point. How is the Steinheil Olephobic in comparison for feeling and self healing capabilities?
