XO Skin is now dry, perfect fit.

Hey guys, Im looking at the XO skin.
this may be a stupid question but
is there any issues with the wet application and getting water in the front speaker hole? Or is the "wet" just a light mist you spray o and this isn't really an issue if you don't squeegee the remaining water into that hole?

Just squeegee away from the hole. A little wont hurt. Keep a paper towel handy and you can dab out the liquid if any gets in.

Having used (in the past, no more) a variety of these skin/screensave products made by various vendors (Seidio, Zagg, etc) a few comments: there are 2 types of screen protectors, hard and soft (or "wet"). The wet ones scratch (doh, the stuff waves in the breeze when you peel it off), and have the "orange peel" effect, due to their softer structure. Their advantage is the really hug the surface, so they will conform to shapes nicely. These are also used as "skins". The hard screen protectors don't orange peel, and they scratch, but not as easily. The downside to them is getting them to fit right, because you can't slide them around. And bubbles won't come out either. They look better. But none of this stuff is as pretty as glass, and they all get fingerprints easier, because they're softer.

Having closely inspected the XO Skin (before an aborted attempt to put it on due to my replacement device being scratched, but that's OT), the peel is as non-existent as I've ever seen. Simply brilliant materials. I'll take photos of XO Skin next to the hogwash that is Zagg when I get home.

Also, their customer service = phenomenal.

My point wasn't to dissuade people from using this stuff, merely to describe it as best I can. I think some people are disappointed when the stuff isn't just like the glass they are covering, or the phone body itself. Don't be, because it's plastic. It will never look/feel quite like the original surface. For the phone body some like the softer/grippy texture. Most of the complaints are about the screen, because that's what you look at and touch all the time. There's obviously a huge market for this stuff, hence all the mall kiosks pimping it. They probably do a good job applying it because they know how much water to use, how to slide it around and get the big bubbles out quickly, and which holes to line it up with right off the bat.

I have had good experiences with them as well

Just applied my XO skin for my Gnex! Got the case fit for my TPU. It looks a lil cloudy at the moment, with a couple tiny bubbles, but i understand that will clear right up. Wish me luck!

Edit: 6 hours later...a bunch of small to medium bubbles popped up out of nowhere. 1/16th to 1/4 in in diameter. It sounds like this is normal...maybe? A little worried. They will go away, right?
