Xoom, Confidential Motorola Restricted

I can believe that a development unit slipped out and some one made a buck off it. The politics inside Motorola probably aren't great. The fact that the SD card works just pisses me off. They have been stalling us saying they are having issues but the fact that their units have it means that they are just dragging their feet on enabling it for us. The only other thing that leads me to wonder is, did it have a working 4g radio in as well? Well it would have been great if the developers at xda had gotten a copy of the system but I guess we'll just have to wait and hope that Motorola sees fit to push the updates down to us lowly users.

Hello everyone.. First let me say I like the site, and will be here to stay. Lots of Info
I just recently got a xoom from ebay and I think it is some kind of developers xoom or something.. Lol on the back it says Confidential Motorola Restricted, NOT FOR SALE.. It is the 3g version, and seems to work just fine. I cant seem to contact the seller on ebay now, go figure. So am I 100% screwed on this one?

I think all Xoom's are 3g versions aren't they? Unless someone has managed to get their Xoom upgraded to 4g.

Well in an email that I received from Motorola when I contacted them to ask about our upgrades, I was told sometime during the 2nd quarter. Well we are nearly 2/3's of the way through the 2nd quarter. I wonder they are waiting for now.

I wouldn't have sent it back until they sent a new one. Send them a photo, and gave then my credit card number to charge me I'd they didn't get their prototype back.

Who knows when you'll ever receive yours...

I wouldn't have sent it either,if he gets jerked it's his own damn fault.

Wow! The SD CARD WORKED, and from the pic it was a version 3.0?!?! Yes VERY interesting! Hmmm...

Motorola isn't going to screw him out of a new Xoom. The couple hundred bucks isn't worth the bad press they'd get.

Honestly, you should still pursue the claim on Ebay...the fact that the seller isn't contacting you proves he probably did something shady. Just say motorola wants it back and I'm screwed. The fact you are going XOOMless for a few weeks is unacceptable as well. You shouldn't let the thief make gain on this one.

If motorola security is in control of this, then something is wrong sure sure...probably was stolen.

Also, I would have been a little bit more aggressive with motorola so they would provide cross shipping. Just offer your credit card number as one said.

just got a xoom

just got a xoom but don't know how to download movies to it or where to get movies for it. can you help?
