Yahoo mail not pushing and inbox notification problems.

Hi. Got my edge yesterday and I have official yahoo app installed. The emails are not automatically syncing and I have to open it up and pull it down to refresh manually.

I also have gmail accounts in the inbox app and I get the first email notification sound but if more come in that I haven't read I don't get any more sound notifications. Any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks but don't think the s7 edge has doze. My inbox app notifications still come in but the sounds stops once it starts grouping them on the lock screen. The first one to come in plays the sound then any others that come in don't if I don't dismiss them.

The yahoo app doesn't show notifications or sounds.

I wonder if it isn't just how the edge workshop as regards to notifications. That every app notification will only play the first sound. Maybe I will try hangouts as a test.

If I use the gmail app itself then all the notifications come in and play sounds. I have added my yahoo account to this so hopefully this will work, even though it doesn't do push, you have to manually set the interval to fetch.

I use yahoo as my main mail app on my s7 and have no issues with updates and alerts from it.

Have you checked the settings in the yahoo app?

Yep. Everything is as it should be. It's not the end of the world because I don't use Yahoo mail much anyway. Maybe it's because I backed up an old phone and restored it on here.

I did that when I got my s7e and the camera failed. So I did a factory reset and set it up without restoring everything from my old phone. And now everything works perfectly.

Yay. Fixed it. Forced stopped the app then cleared data and cache before reinstalling. Works now

strange, I had the same problem after upgrading to 5.10.0,
rolled back to 5.9.1 and push still wasn't working,
fixed it by forcing stop and deleting cache & app data

This worked for me. Force stop the app. Delete the catch and all data. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Done.
