yahoo mail notifications

Hi all,
how do I set sound notifications for when I get a new yahoo email?
I went to notifications under settings and have them turned on for sound but it doesnt seem to be working.
is there a specific notification setting for the yahoo app or are the notification sounds just for messages or phone calls??

Hi: I have my yahoo Email set up in Settings - accounts - Email. There is an option in there to set up notification Sounds. I don't have the Yahoo app.
