When I first go my S3 I used the stock email app. I started having problems signing in and receiving emails so I downloaded the Yahoo email app. Now I am not getting my emails pushed anymore and I only get them when I open the app. I tried going back to the stock email app but it doesn't show emails from more than a month ago. What is the best way to get Yahoo to work on this phone?

You need to go into settings and make those changes. Part will be in the app and part will be in account settings

Do you have auto sync on? Otherwise, go into Yahoo, press menu, settings, and change update intervals.

#1 stock email app - I tried using this again and it doesn't allow me to access emails older than 1 month. Is there anyone to change this? It is not under any options screens.

#2 yahoo email app - there are no options under the app settings or under the sync settings to change the times it syncs. So how am I supposed to change it??

Honestly...the Yahoo email app should just work. Do you have any task killer apps or battery saver apps that may be shutting the Yahoo Mail app down?

If so, either get rid of them of tell the app to not touch Yahoo Mail. If not, I'd uninstall Yahoo Mail app and re-install.

I do not have any task killers and I have tried re-installing, but I am having the same issues. I even tried a cache wipe but that didn't help either.

OK -- I asked because I noticed on my phone that Battery Guru had disabled Yahoo Mail sync because I don't use it very often.

Looks like I cant fix the stock app or the yahoo email app, is there anything else out there that would push my yahoo emails?

Maildroid will push Yahoo. I have tried many others but maildroid is the only one that works.

I have 6 email addresses and receive 70-100 emails everyday, many texts and a few phone calls and have never had to charge other than while I'm sleeping.

Maildroid will push Yahoo. I have tried many others but maildroid is the only one that works.

Maildroid is the priciest app I have ever paid for. And well worth it. I have had problems with Yahoo on and off on several different phones, and Maildroid solved them. I use the pro version, but the free one works just the same.
