YooTech Tempered glass screen protector

Dry... I just cleaned the screen, peeled the backing off the protector and laid it on there.. even pulled it back off a few times to perfect the alignment..

I tried that one too but got 3 bubbles. I think the install is dependent on your G4 screen.

Humid or dry environment?

I did mine in my steamed up bathroom so I'm going to try to install it dry when my replacement comes in.

Well guys and gals I just received an email from the seller (SF Planet) of my Fosmon glass protector and they offered me a replacement for my troubles! That, my friends, is awesome customer service!! I will write a great review simply for their customer service.

PS: Everyone that got the bubbles: could you all let me know if you applied the glass screen in a humid/wet (steamed bathroom) or dry environment?? Thanks! :)

I applied mine in a dry environment , Temperature 72 fahrenheit.I wiped it with clean cloth then I used the scotch tape trick to get dust off screen

Dry?!? Really?? I was beginning to think that the bubbles were condensation from humid/wet applications. There goes that theory!! lol

What are the other options than YooTech and Supershieldz. It sounds like both of these are getting noticeable bubbles. Someone said they are using iCarez with no problems. Are there some other options out there for tempered glass?

I used Skinomi Tech Glass. Put on in dry environment, no bubbles. :) The included instructions were not good so I found a tutorial on YouTube on how to install. It was my first time. Sorry, I can't post links yet, don't have enough posts. I bought it on Amazon.

The screen of the G4 is not perfectly flat, my H815 has some "humps" or "rolls" in the screen, my VZ model not so much. The glass screen protector will not conform to those rolls. If your phone has those screen aspects, I don't think a tempered glass protector is going to work. The Zoo on my VZ phone is perfection. If it were on my H815 then no way it doesn't have bubbles.

The issue is a small opaque dot in the corners? Mine has it in the top two corners and much smaller on the bottom two. I couldn't care less while others it find it unacceptable. It works or not depending on your tolerance for the imperfection.

I had a couple of spots that wouldn't quite stick down on the edges when I put on tempered glass cover but after a week they are almost gone. It's like the glue either finally pulled it together or maybe the glue flowed into the void. Either way I have one spot left on the bottom near the logo but it doesn't bother me.

Bottom line IMO is the screen area clear of defects? It is for me.

I got one on my phone. A must. Works very well and no problems. Just make sure when you are putting it in you get it centers and don't hit the bezel.

If you have problems during installation, contact yootech. Bubbles are covered under their lifetime replacement warranty. I've redeemed my warranty once already. The process is simple and painless.

I bought 2 of the YooTech ones linked to in the OP. The one that I put on my wife's G4 went on without bubbles but on mine I have a bubble that I can't get rid of in the top left corner. It has gotten better over the past couple of days but hasn't gone completely away.

My issue with these is that they are not quite big enough to completely fit the screen. When centered there is a 1/4 to 1/2 mm gap all the way around it. It makes the presence of the protector very noticeable around the edges, especially when doing a swipe from a screen edge. I was hoping/expecting one that fit the size/shape of the screen better.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good ones that fit better?

Not familiar with Yootech but Skinomi fits well although a little thicker.

I got the icarez 3 pack. Put on the first one, no problem, no spots. They look and work great.

I used the Yootec protector and it went on flawless (twice if you count the removal due to dust under it the first time being to be removed). I installed it in a dry environment, but also put a case on it at the same time. I can't say if it was one or the combination of both since the case helps hold the edges down, but never had any bubbles.

I did notice touch sensitivity issues, where it wouldn't register a touch or a touch resulted in erratic behavior. It was mostly in the bottom left quadrant of the screen. Trying to long press a keyboard letter would often result in repeated taps and give me a string of them. I read somewhere that the screen protectors could be causing this on the G4, and I even tried a sensitivity adjustment app with no luck. I took the protector off, and my touches seem perfect so far now.

Anyone else notice this? I'm hesitant to leave the screen bare after seeing scratches in my old Bionic with Gorilla Glass II on it. But if a protector means wonky touch response...

I gave up on tempered glass and installed the Spigen film protector. After the last several days, I can honest say that it's 95% as smooth as tempered glass. Zero touchscreen issues.
