You have questions. I have a Droid RAZR. Ask away.

Good review Phil and thanks for all the information. There is one question that I can't believe no one has asked yet so I will.

Can I have it now that your review is posted?

Phil, any word on this:
Thanks phil. I was in the store the other day playing with one, and I noticed that when the device was plugged in and when you were say typing a message, there was a vibration on key press.... Which is nice, I noticed when it was unplugged that there was no vibration on the key press even though the setting for "vibrate on key press" option was selected... Is it like that on yours? And if so is there a setting that will change that?

So a couple of things on that ... Now that I'm back home and not running around the country, battery life has settled a little. That might also be because of the time change -- Motorola warned us battery life should get a little better once that rolled over.

Your mileage will still vary, and I'm still wary of a non-removable battery in an LTE device.
Time change has an effect on battery life???

Thanks, Robrecht

Is the bloat ware removable?

Some not all. I should have made a list.

I remember removing the golf game, go to meeting and Blockbuster. There are a few others.

You can't remove the VZW or Moto media apps like VCast.

Can you remove VZW navigator?

you have to push power button and then swipe to unlock. Is there a way to get rid of one of those steps?

Might I suggest using Elixir. It lets you create shortcuts & toggles (wifi, bluettoth, airplane, etc.) and one of them is the lock toggle. Turn it on and you get your normal power button and swipe to unlock. Turn it off and the power button takes you right to your home screen. Best part is it's a toggle, so you can turn it off when you're constantly using the phone and when it's going to be in your pocket for a while, you can turn the lock back on to avoid the dread butt texting/dialing. Works great!

Oh, and Elixir is customizable (i.e you can make a 1x4 bar with 4-7 toggles, a 2x4 bar, etc, etc.)

So the Messaging Folder (not sure if that is the correct term) has all of my email accounts, social media accounts, all except my gmail. How do I get my gmail account in that folder?

Thank you for all of the great information, Phil. I have a question I don't believe has been addressed.

Are email/text notification sounds audible in the BT?

Rationale, if anyone cares to keep reading ;) -
I am disabled and have a very difficult time looking down in my lap at my phone. I have my Droid X set up for 3 email accounts (2 on K9 and a MS Exchange account on Touchdown). Each account has a different notification sound and color LED (work, home, etc.). All of the Samsungs I've had and iPhone 3GS and 4, played the sound in my BT. Droid X, will only play notifications in the handset. Unless the volume is cranked, I often miss emails. I use Vlingo and the BlueAnt Q2, which basically gives me complete hands-free dialing, answering, and texting capabilities.

Regards,
Paul
