You have questions. I have a Droid RAZR. Ask away.

Phil,

I don't understand VZW, maybe you could help me out. I was in a VZW store last night and held and played with the new RAZR. I fell in love with this phone. But, it is not a global phone.

I have looked at the specs on the Galaxy Nexus and that to is not global. Then here yesterday the announcement of the Droid 4 also not global. So my question, by chance do you know what is behind the thinking of VZW in offering a 4G global phone?

This question is only tangentially related, but I have the exact same question. I have pre-ordered this phone, but I will miss the "global phone" capability. Yet, I don't see a lot of newer options to upgrade to anyway.

I'm really hoping someone tells me the LTE SIM will serve a dual-role someday and work the GSM voice on vodafone networks or something logical like that...

Really? That's kind of a weird way to answer the questions.....You ask for questions, you get them and then say "read this review"....Why not just post the review link in your OP and call it a day....They want to know YOUR REAL WORLD tests, not the tests of a website....battery life, screen impressions, etc....

Ummmmmm. Yeah. Reviews are of my "real-world" tests. Dunno what else you think they'd be.

Does it have the headphone whine like on the bionic, also does it have a hard time charging with non moto chargers like the bionic?

Not that I can tell. I didn't think the Bionic whine was as bad as some made it out to be though. Could be I'm deaf from all the metal. :p

They won't. It's not any manufacturer's fault. The technology just isn't there yet. These are still 1st gen LTE radios. They only do CDMA/LTE. You will have to wait till the spring of 2012 when the newer 2nd gen 28nm LTE SOC's start rolling out, then you will see Global GSM functionality in Verizon LTE phones.

Thanks for the info. Answers the question.

Guess my next phone after the razr will get back to global...

Is the phone awkward to hold and make phone calls with? How about in and out of the pocket? Thanks, Phil.

Some reviews state that the phone gets very hot. Does it in normal use and if so do you consider it an issue?

How is the Browser text display? Any Jaggies or crosshatching like the Bionic? I know another display question... blah blah.

Phil - Due to its size, would you recommend a holster/case rather than trying to keep this in your pocket?
If so, any holsters that you would recommend?

Phil- Very important question: How is the phone quality in noisy situations? My Fascinate was absolutely the worst smart phone for making calls, total disaster. So I switched to the Droid X. Amazing call quality!! So how is it on the Razr?

Well, seeing as how he WROTE the review, those are HIS REAL WORLD TESTS with battery life, screen impressions, etc....
Let's be honest...a lot of the people posting here have not read Phil's review in its entirety.

I'm curious about the charging port being on top. That is one of the reasons I want to get it, just wondering because I am coming from the thunderbolt with it on the side.
