Hello all! I will greatly appreciate any and all assistance in this matter.
My HTC One M8 was left screen-side down on a table (it has a spigen case on it so the screen is not rest on a surface) for the better part of 6 hours while I left the house and went to the pool. Upon returning, I checked to see if I had any missed calls/msgs. I was greeted by "Your phone is encrypted" screen. My phone has NEVER been encrypted. It was bought new in August 2014 from Verizon. I attempted to input the only thing I could think of and recieved "Decryption unsuccessful" screen. It claims my password was correct, but my data is corrupt. Only option supplied is a "reset phone" button. I do have pictures of these screens, just don't know how to post them.
