Your Preferred Music Service?

I've used Pandora Premium, Spotify Premium, and Google Play subscription. I used Pandora until I learned about google play and its freedom. I also left Pandora because they cracked down on sharing the account, so the wife and I couldn't listen at the same time anymore. I loved Google play with all it's unlimitedness(that a word?). I hit a point where google play was not playing on any device at any speed steadily. This was about a year ago. Its like the servers were backed up all the time. I switched to Spotify for the family plan, and had three people on it. That's 20$ a month. We do a lot of driving, and I listen while at work so we needed separate accounts since you can't share.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and google play finally unleashed their family plan. I switched IMMEDIATELY back. I can't stand Spotify. App isn't very intuitive. Google play app is a much better experience, and it is back to playing like it should. It saved me 5$ a month and gave me 3 more spots I can hand out. PLUS everybody gets you tube red included! It was a win win. So for me, Google play is still the best for the money. I also use Pandora Free sometimes on my Roku since they don't have google play, and streaming I do pandora some still too. They seem to use the least amount of data, and I only get 1gb a month.

I like the versatility of Google Play Music myself. I like that I don't even need to load my own tracks to my device anymore because with the subscription I can download virtually any track/song for offline play (though I've yet to see if DRM kicks in should I ever halt my subscription).

My only hangup with Google Play Music though, is that the Music Player itself leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the UI and lack of a versatile equalizer. I'd be SO happy if other players like PowerAmp had access to Google Play Music.

Well, Google Play Music and in between Spotify - like i am using both thing quite often and frequently - bith have different advantages for me. Not too bad therefore no need for anything else.

I buy CDs, locally or used on Amazon. I toss the jewel cases but keep the artwork booklets. I also check them out at my local library.
I have two external drives setup one for lossless and the other for compressed 320k mp3.

We recently switched to Android from Windows Phone. We are a family of four and started out on Groove, then went to Spotify, now currently use Google Music family plan. For $15 a month for the whole family, excellent value and Google Music works real well so far. No complaints from anyone.

Good free app is Soundcloud, you can get different versions of many songs & with the downloader app you can store the music for offline play.

I use spotify. Easy to get on different devices with all you're music stored in the app. Does cost ten bucks a month but that's cheap

I still prefer Spotify Premium! I tried Google Play Music but it's just so poor in options and versatility compared to Spotify, I couldn't bring myself to use it lol

interface sucks, music player sucks, I didn't find all the songs I have in Spotify...for ME, it simply sucked all the way lol

Can any other service really compete with spotify?

Google Play Music is better than Spotify in every regard for me. Even music suggestion. I have a subscription to Pandora, Spotify, and Google Music. I will be cancelling Pandora soon and keeping Spotify for a bit longer, however - majority of the time is spent w/ Google Music.
