Question YouTube videos no longer play

I've have a 4 year old Lenovo m8 tablet with Android 10 and Google Chrome. My app usage is very basic (preloaded Google apps, Skype, banks, VPN.)

YouTube has always worked well for me. But starting 2 days ago, when I try to play a video, I only get the revolving circle, but nothing else. I.e., the circle never stops and the video never plays.

Bitchute isn't working either, though the revolving circle doesn't appear. I tried disabling and re-enabling YouTube to no avail.

Please advise. Thank you.

Have you tested it on other wi-fi networks, like at your local public library or coffeehouse?

Also, try clearing the app cache/data for those apps in Settings>Apps, then Force Stop them, and then open them again.

Nevermind... I just tried restarting my tablet, and now YouTube works!!

Which browser are you using? Update your browser, check network connection. I hope it will work for you.

Did you notice that the OP said the problem was solved? In any case, they were talking about YouTube on a tablet, meaning the app, not the YouTube website.
