Really hate it for everyone that hasn't gotten theirs yet.

Ordered mine several weeks ago, Verizon sent it in 2 days. But probably going to send it back. Seems hard to find a great case, not dust resistant is the killer for me.

Unless you rolling on dirt all the time, I wouldn't worry about the dust issues.

I'm in gyms all day long, and often have chalk dust accumulating on top of my phone. Notes handle this totally fine. I don't know how something that isn't dust-resistant would fare. This is the main thing keeping me from getting one, currently.

There is dust all around us and the fold 3 has some resistance to dust. The X in IPX8 means it wasn't tested for dust resistance. I think the biggest concern is stuff like sand, pocket lint or other debris getting in the hinge. I would also be careful getting sand on the the inside display and closing it.

My concern, at least for me is that with my new job, I'm around very fine "dust". Which is really cut excess film, or really just lcd panels that go into mobile phones and monitors.

Im sure you're saying, well then why would he get that knowing his job is dusty..

I didn't know when I started. Got the phone in orientation. Found out after I got it where I would be going and how dusty it is.

To me, the solution is simple and clear as day. Get another cheaper device for work. However, if, for some reason, you don't want to do that then I fear this phone is not a good fit for you (based on what you've told us) and that you should return it for a phone that's more durable.
