Zefie's CM7 was taken over for the thread to be closed?

So Somebody took over Zefie's CM7 project, then he was banned, then the thread was closed, and the link for the updated ROM he posted does not work. Can anybody tell me what's going on with this ROM? Is it still being updated, and can you send me the link please?

what if the guy just made a mistake...maybe hes still learning. Like Ksmith said on the last posts, you could make a script thats only 1mb that did was his 70mb one did...?

Anyone that has a clue about doing whats needed to take over Zef's work knows that this was done in all the wrong ways. I woke up to see that post and was like what the hell... i got a bad feelin about this. Then saw that the zip wasnt signed and that he was taking zef's release and forge it as his own.. wow.. was trippin hoping that nobody bricks their phone. Dont even think of what happend today as a takeover.. it was a poor attempt of a copycat. Nice try... end of discussion.

oh no worries - im no dev or anything, but i figured with the name like "training day" blah blah, i figured he was a new developer. I have no clue or no what to look for to look for copycats, but it does seem to make for another round of UltimateDroid vs Cyanogenmod

I was exicted that someone had finally taken over zefies awesome rom .....but, alas, it was a tease......on the bright side though, mrinehart93 has expressed interest in continuing this ROM, and sounds like he will be starting in the very near future.....

Im no dev either, but ive been round enuf to notice when something fishy is goin on... BTW... we should all be thanking the REAL developers and troubleshooters we have in this Optimus S family. They all do wonders here and help tons of folks.

i just think its funny, he wasnt even given a chance, and his thread was taken down for stealing, when in the first paragraph of his post he made it pretty clear it was a takeover, and he was accused as not having a resync, when no one even asked, and he never claimed to have 428, plus nick said anyone could make a 1mb zip with scripts doing what he did, yet he is the only one who did...god sometimes i feel like the admins on this site are really close minded,..

I feel the mods on this site are just trying to look out for us.

I can't wait till someone flashes something "taken over" and screws up their phone and bricks it. Then the same people will be in here asking what happened to their phone and why the phone is bricked. The mods are preemptively preventing this. I say good on the mods for this. I appreciate everything this forum does. I also don't like the sound of someone's work being stolen.

he didnt steal, he never claimed it was built by him, and he gave credit to zefie, and even the mods cant even prevent bricks, you could even get bricked from the roms like barebones or cm7, thats the risk you take when flashing roms...all im saying is that, that was too fast to be closed, and the reasons are a bit eerie...

Okay. He can start his own forum then. Download his rom and tell us how it works out for you.

The mods probably had good reason to close it and wouldn't have otherwise. Nothing is "eerie" about it.

Come on now, it wasn't even his rom. It was an old release. Did you read KSmith's post?

yeah, but honestly, you guys are making it seem like he was putting out malware out there, at least he ia trying, hes probably a beginner, thats probably why it lacked what most roms have, at least on this site..
