ZeroLemon Battery Case 50% off @ Amazon

I just got an email from ZeroLemon about an issue with a faulty U-shaped power connector that may cause an issue regarding charging. They fixed it with a new revision and will be sending a free replacement. Customer service had been good so far. Let's see if this will fix the issue that some Amazon buyers have been complaining about.

I got this email too. Kinda worried since mine is still on the way.

Wow, I got that email this morning to and I don't even have the case yet. Ok, now that's good customer service!

Yeah me too, but we are basically beta testing this thing so the fact that they found this issue so quick and are working to rectify it for us imo is a good thing.

Got the same email. Unclear though if we should request the connector, if we will automatically receive it, or if we'll be receiving the revised product. You guys have any thoughts?

handwerk79, did you receive the connector or notice any charging issues so far?

-# Cheers! #-

i haven't had a problem at all with mine. when you power on the unit it shows a charging icon at the top. i can see a problem possibly with the piece that connects to the phone at some point wearing out the port cause it does have some wiggle room to it when not in the case. ill take some pictures of what im talking about.

zerolemon is a really spot on company. and like to hear how their products are working for people. and they do get back to you unlike my carrier sprint who im still waiting for an answer back on why i can't use my LTE/Spark and use facebook and instagram and google play music at all. but when i put in on 3G only everything works fine...and slow.

Got mine today, everything works, but man it's a much uglier, bigger, clunker case than I was thinking. I had Mophies sleeker design in mind I guess. Still, it'll do it's job well I'm sure, especially for 20 bucks I'm not complaining. Oh and as far as wireless charging goes, it's a big fat no. It will not wireless charger with this case/battery on.

Yes, received my shipment this morning and I'm semi-disappointed with the overall feel and thickness of the case with no wireless charging available. I'll keep it but definitely will use this in a very limited capacity as it concerns me that it'll weaken the USB port on my S6. I did not receive an email about replacing anything that I'm aware of.

I paid $29.95 for mine. I did get the email and then a follow up saying they would also be sending a replacement battery that is 3500 instead of 2800. However, they said it would be at least 3 weeks before it is shipped.
It definitely will NOT work with wireless charging. The battery in the case goes in back of the phone, so that is probably why the wireless charging does not work.

Well I just got mine in today and I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the case as a backup, use it when I plan on being out and away from a wall outlet, option. It's well thought out and well constructed, and yeah it's bulky but no more than the Mophie cases based on my experience. It seems to work great, is a great fit, and will be great protection from drops/mishaps. I don't have a wireless charging pad so I can't comment on it not being able to wirelessly charge due to its thickness, but I guess the significance of that depends on whether or not you're looking for this to be your daily driver. It won't be mine so I'm less demanding about what I think it should provide. But seriously, for $20 vs. $99 for a Mophie that will probably be just as thick and effective as a battery backup, I think this is an excellent product.

I've attached some pics of it to give those on the fence a look before making a decision. Hopefully it'll help take the mystery out of what you'll get if you decide to purchase.

In the package - Battery / TPU Case / Earphone Jack Adaptor (to allow access to the recessed earphone jack due to the thickness of the case) / U-Shape connector (has two microUSB connections - one for the battery, the other for the S6):

Very thorough Daspoo, thank you. Are you a reviewer, because you should be.

Thanks, man - appreciate it! Well, I use Yelp to review restaurants/businesses sometimes, but that's pretty much it. I figure I'm always thankful when someone describes stuff in detail when I'm looking to spend some hard-earned cash, so it's worth returning the favor from time to time. :)

True, definitely like the details. Saves a lot of questions lol.

Daspoo,
Man...!! excellent update with frame by frame capture of the ZeroLemon case.
Helped me make my decision for my Note Edge.
Cheers & thanks :-)

I've had this zerolemon case for 3 months now and I just can't find myself using the case for a couple of reasons.
1. It's just to big and heavy
2. I can't transfer data to the phone via micro USB port.
Other than that it's a great product. The fit is perfect, the buttons are clicky, and design is sleek. The redirection of the speaker makes the sound a bit muffled but not bad enough to complain about. Great product, however, I will most likely only use it on long trips.
