Zinio finally went live on the App Market last night, for those who may be interested. The Nook app also functions fairly well as a magazine reader, although it carries far fewer magazines than Zinio. Also, Zinio seems to release the new issues faster than than Nook.

Still has the same restrictions as the iPad/iTouch, all of your library is not viewable. I don't like it when a company decides to Protect me.

Downloads are taking much longer than the Nook app and the magazines aren't as readable in landscape mode, its like its formated for the ipad screen, not the case with the nook app, I find it much more tollerable than Zinio. Turn it to portrait mode and it works well in one page mode though.

The large selection is nice, but I think the slow downloads may be enough to keep me from going back.

I find both apps to be laggy, but not enough to dissuade me. The downloads take about the same on both devices. The massive library of the Zinio crushes the Nook, though. If whatever you read is available via Nook, then it's a toss-up. However, some of my subscriptions are only available via Zinio at the moment, so it's a no-brainer for me.

I agree. I am finding it laggy and slow to download. Viewing at a readable size is awkward. Some pages remained fuzzy even when magnified. Not sure I will stick with it although selection is awesome.

I find it interesting that with Zinio, Playboy magazine is available on your PC, but says it's specifically not available on Iphones, Ipads or Androids. Do they think we're going to read it in inappropriate places? I read it for the articles. Really!
