Contacts

I just exported my contacts to my sd card. When I install a new rom I do NOT want to sync contacts with google. I want to import the contacts from my sd card so they remain exactly how they are.

Of course when I start the new rom it will ask me to sign into google to download my apps and get gmail.

How can I be SURE when I am setting up phone that my contacts are NOT syncked with google?

Finish signing in, because you must to get your email... then go to Settings > Accounts > click on the gmail account, unselect Contacts. If the contacts are still there, remove them all... then import them from your SD card.
