Wireless tether + Das Bamf 1.4

It seems like ever since I threw on this ROM the Verizon Mobile Hotspot app and Wireless Tether won't work right. It looks like they're connected, but they never give my computer an IP address. Anybody else have that same issue? Running BAMF 1.4 Remix with Adrynalyne's 4.2b kernel.

Awesome, I'll install that and give it a shot. I'm at work with no wireless computers to test, so I'll update tomorrow. Just flash in recovery?

Used a coworkers iPhone to test it out, tethering works fine now. Was this in one of the threads on XDA that I missed? Either way, you've just guaranteed a spot on my phone for as long as you're making ROMs, that was some fast and accurate support.

Yeah, it was posted on XDA some time ago, and then it weaseled its way into remix, but not standard 1.4.

Pretty sure you don't have to. Just flash as you would a ROM. Select the zip from your sd card and flash.

That's weird, I'm on remix and it still didn't work. I'm sure it was probably user error on my part. Now if we could just get 1.5 ;-)

Or u can just do this:

Wireless tether fix:

[11:16] <@Adrynalyne> flash remix

[11:17] <@Adrynalyne> delete system/bin/sh
[11:17] <@Adrynalyne> and rename system/bin/sh0 to system/bin/sh
[11:17] <@Adrynalyne> and reboot

[11:17] <@Adrynalyne> Thats all that need be done
[11:17] <@Adrynalyne> thats it

This should not be necessary on the regular (non-remix) version:

If you are on non-remix, or still have an issue after this, it is something else causing it, not the ROM.
