Google keyboard

I just realised that HTC sense input is blocking a lot of the features of Google keyboard like the next word prediction how do I disable HTC input or set the Google keyboard as default I tried disabling HTC sense input but then I wasnt able to type anything.

To set default: settings/language and input/google keyboard/settings

To disable: settings/apps/all and find HTC Sense Input. Uninstall updates if applicable then disable.

There's no option to set the Google keyboard as default its on in the settings and I've tried disabling the HTC like I said but then I couldnt type at all. Its almost like sense is allowing the keyboard but none of the features. I can't Swype or get next word predictions and none of the Google keyboard settings are doing anything like I set the vibration to 50 but no difference

Fixed it uninstalled then reinstalled and had options to set as default from there.
