what is text to speech and how do i set it up

It is set up already. All you have to do is hit the microphone icon next to the space bar on the keyboard.

do you mean speaking into the phone it types what you say? or do you mean.. the phone reads your texts to you?

as said above.. if u want to speak and have the phone type what you say.. you just hit the microphone icon on the keyboard. dunno if the phone can 'read' the texts to you though

It is capable of reading text to you, as the Google Translate app can do it. I don't know about implementing it into other apps though. Also, the Translate app required me to download what was essentially an add-on to enable this feature, but it led me to the app in the Market and it was very simple. Again, not sure if this can be used in other applications though.
