Any help on this would be appreciated. Have a wireless n router in the living room. Got a pc for a bedroom but it didn't have a wireless card so I bought a wireless usb adapter. Well now we can't connect to the WiFi...no phone, wii or ipod touch.

My Incredible can find my WiFi but it automatically disconnect if I try to use it. What am I doing wrong?

I believe what we are referring to here is also known as MiFi, isn't it?

I'm thinking about trying PDANET but does Verizon add a surcharge if I use it? Do they even know? Once Froyo begins being deployed and offers native MiFi, won't Verizon try to block it...or at least require a surcharge for using it?

(Before switching to the Incredible, I had a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. I used a product called WMWifiRouter--an awesome product but they don't have an Android version. Anyway, Verizon didn't add a surcharge when I used it.)

I'm still learning Android. What is the "Mobile Broadband Connect" option (located on the Settings > Wireless & networks page) used for? It *sounds* a lot like what PDANET does.

Your question is better referred to a forum about routers and access points, or your wireless routers manufacturer... It's not a problem specific to the phone... Could be a security setting issue...

I use pdanet and a cable, yep old-fashioned until we get 2.2

Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk

Yeah agree with makya on this one. Before I rooted I used PDANet and it worked rather well for me. You can tether it with either bluetooth or the cable depending on how your system is setup. There are a few different types of the apps in the market just search out "tethering" and you should see quite a few.
