I use my Resound day in and day out with an extended battery and need a way to rapid charge the battery . Is there a rapid charger on the market that really works?

Nope, even when I used a 2a charger, it charged at about 1a,similar to stock.

Here's an idea.... Get on eBay and buy one of those Chinese packs that come with two 1800mah batteries and a wall charger that charges the batteries out of the phone. Then do what I am trying.... I taped the two Chinese batteries together, back to back, to equal the thickness of the htc ext. battery. So what you can then do is charge one set of batteries while the other is in the phone. Then use the phone til it dies then swap batteries. Only problem is that the dual battery "pack" will have to be flipped once one of the twin batteries is charged.

Heehee, I'm a cheap skate...

If you root, I believe there is a kernal for gingerbread that allows fast charging. When your stick, the phone throttles back how fast it can charge, a new kernal can unlock faster charging.

I came to say that there is a kernel for it, but I have to admit it is only for GB right now, you have to get a stand alone app, and I had no real luck with it.

There is a dev working on an independent kernel but no eta (of course)

good to know. I am not a fan of fast charging because it isn't really good for the battery, but sometimes, you need it.

Why not just get a portable battery charger. I picked one up for 20 bucks and it's charge both the rezound (ext batt) and my wifes Razr. Granted I make sure they don't get below 20% before i plug it in
