Like a butthat...i did the *228 when i got home cause im just used to that.

If the reports are true and i ruined the sim card, would i be getting even 3g service?

Im kinda paranoid cause im not near any 4g areas right now where i live (but they are surrounding me, nyc, PA) so i cant check if the 4g even works after my mistakes.

I was having the problem of the 3g symbol in the notification bar sometimes disappearing and appearing again but battery meter says 0% without a signal so is that a feature or something that it clicks off the 3g if your not using it?

Thanks guys.

Calls to *228 from a Thunderbolt are just dropped and have no effect.

The SIM card wouldn't have been altered at all - the SIM provisioning issue some people were having after they did this yesterday was just because of a large amount of Thunderbolts being activated at the time, and they blamed the un-needed *228 calls as a possible cause. It has no effect on the Thunderbolt, it's just unecessary.

You should be fine.
