On my HTC Thunderbolt i would like to have more vibe than it has when set on vibe only alert. When a text comes in there is only 2 quick "buzz's" from the vibe and that's it. Is there any way to change that to a longer vibe or a way to set it that it will vibe every so often til i check the message? A message comes in and i don't always feel the vibe the first time, then i don't discover that a message came in until a while later. An app for this maybe?

I believe Handcent will allow individual settings... but I DO know Go SMS does have the great custom SMS notification and individual notification and ability to create your own custom vibration pattern.... I've used Handcent and like Go SMS much better because you can set it up for Lite version, which is very small.

What I'm really after is an add on or widget I guess its called, that gives the option to customize the vibe alert when on vibe only mode. Will this do that? I'm ok with the native SMS I just want more vibe from it.

The native SMS app is what it is... it doesn't really evolve very much... where 3rd party apps like Handcent and Go SMS do evolve, change, get better because they have someone working on enhancements requested by people like you and me. Go SMS just had an update to it this week.

I don't know of a widget that will do this, but like I said I'm not sure if Handcent does this, but I do know that Go SMS does have this... download and install it, disable the native app notification (otherwise you will get two notifications), go into the app > Menu > Settings > Notification Setting to set up the normal notification, or Individual Settings to setup notifications for an individual.

Try it out... if you don't like it remove it and try something else.

Ok. I see your point. I'll give it a shot.

Ok update. Tried the sms apps and they still weren't what I was looking for. But I did find an app called Smart Vibrator and no its not a porn app. What it does is allow for changes in vibe duration and intensity. Custom vibes can also be programmed. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
