Simple safe way to root with Mac for dummies?

I'm sure this is a redundant question but rooting threads are so massive to go through and seem confusing.....

I have a Mac. Is there a simple safe step-by-step guide to rooting for a Mac head whose not familiar with all the computer jargons... another words a dummy (that's why I'm a Mac head :] )

I fear I start something that I don't quite understand and get stuck right away.

As far as I know, these programs are made only for windows and Linux since most advanced computer users use those OSs, there may be a one click program for Mac, bit I don't know. However one click programs only work on 2.3 and down. These are usually straight forward, click and your done.
