the 4G on my samsung Galaxy S3

I rooted my phone last night successfully. There is wifi at my house so there is no need for me to use my mobile network. Today I noticed that the 4G LTE that is normally in the upper right hand corner of my phone was not there, and that i couldn't get on the internet. However if I go to settings; more networks; mobile networks;network mode and switch my preferred network from LTE/CDMA to CDMA my 3G network works. Help!!!
