How do I sync my Google Contacts with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone

I bought this new phone and when I put my sim in, only some of my contacts came up. I now want to put the Google contacts onto the new phone. I'm assuming Syncing should do this or is there another way to do it?

Re: How do I sync my Google Contacts with my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone

As long as your contacts were stored in Google's servers, when you activate your Google account and select the option to sync Contacts, all of them should be transferred.

Make sure your contacts are stored in Google by opening GMail on a PC browser (or your mobile one, using Desktop Mode) and selecting CONTACTS.

If they are there, it may just be taking time to sync entirely. You can also check if you're actually displaying your Google Contacts or only those stored in SIM, local storage, etc. by going into the Settings of your Contacts app.
