Hi my Samsung S5 has locked me out

[AC Question]

It says to enter Alternative password but the keyboard is not working when I press the letters it just vibrates and nothing shows up, if I press the back button the keyboard disappears and a empty blue box takes it place also it vibrates when buttons are pushed and is making different sounds I think their alerts not sure I have just realised if I hold down the home button and type while doing this the letters and numbers show up but It still wont go through when i push done, tried it again and that doesnt work.
