Why is HTC texting messenger app not working ?

Hi, I recently bought an HTC Desire EYE, and my texting app is not receiving multimedia messages or even regular messages. I downloaded a new app for texting, Textra, and that seemed to fix the problem, but now my new app is acting up again. It tells me to check my APN settings, but ever everything there looks correct for ATT settings. Any suggestions as to how I may fix this problem? ( I restored the APN settings but the problem still persists)

Try going in to your APN settings and restoring to default. See if that fixes the issue.

I restored the APN settings, but the problem still persists. Any way I can fix my original app so it does receive MMS?

Try clearing the data from the messaging app to reset it.
