Windows 7 system, new ssd, when i plug in phone via usb, it said it installed the update and

and software utility for Verizon..windows did its thing with usb and android drivers. When I plug the phone in, it is sporadically opening a window to the phone for about 3 minutes, then it closes and goes on and on. It is plugged into a usb 3.0 outlet. It says its not connected, then it is connected and the window opens to the phone data again..and again...then its not connected...I just want my pictures OFF the phone. It transferred about 6-7 then disconnects again.

That is weird. Try something like Airdroid or Pushbullet where you can push (over a wifi connection) photos to your PC.
