So I'll be texting a friend and then I'll get a text from them and instead of getting the new text I get a duplicate text from one they sent me around 10 minutes ago. Also, Sometimes my phone receives two completely different texts from a person, when they only sent one. But the second text is always a text they sent me about 10 minutes in the past.

That's an issue with the network provider and/or device not having the most current APNs. Which provider and device do you have? I'd suggest contacting them to see what's going on. In the meantime, we can provide you with the correct APN settings for text messaging once we know the network provider.
