Asus Memo 7 boot loop

[AC Question]

Woke up today and there was an error message on the tablet saying encryption failed/ reset device. System wouldn't boot so I tried wiped the cache and did a factory restore /wipe settings. It said restore successful but the system just does a boot loop now and I can't get the device to show up on my PC to do a ROM restore and fastboot doesn't work either. The device is not rooted or unlocked. I didn't install anything new that could've caused it to encrypt itself. It was literally sitting on a desk unused. Pls help.
