When I get or make calls on my note3 they can hear me but I can't hear them why?

How do i fix this problem when calling or getting calls they can hear me but I can't hear them

Welcome to Android Central! Can you hear them if you use speakerphone, or wired/Bluetooth headsets? If so, then the earpiece speaker may have failed (or it might be blocked by debris).
