Why did the lastest update make the fingerprint scanner to unlock samsung phones quit working?

I have been locked out of my phone for 2 days now because my fingerprint scanner quit working and I have tried every password I have ever used and nothing works to unlock it. And since I go thru Straight Talk I have NO WHERE to take my phone to fix it. I have been online trying everything possible to unlock it that everyone has said to try and nothing works. This is my only phone & I have a disabled child, I NEED my phone to help care for him. I need someone to find a way to get my fingerprint scanner to work so I can unlock my phone atleast once so I can change it from fingerprint scan to a code, I am wasting my money not being able to use the phone I pay monthly for!!!!

Unlock it through google android device manager using your gmail from other computer or phone. Or go to find my mobile samsung.
