MMS doesnt work after upgrade from S5 to S7

[AC Question]

I have happily been using a galaxy s5 forever receiving MMS just great. I recently upgraded to an S7 and now I can't receive MMS. I have been googling plenty but no answers at all. I have a wonderful data network connection and wifi is off (but i have tried it on to just because I am running out of hope.) I don't know what to try anymore. My plan and network did not change at all. The only change was a new sim card to fit the new phone. I use handscent SMS but have tried a few others for my testing.

Make sure the APN is set properly for your network.
