can't disable music app

I have a blu vivo xl. I don't like the installed music app so I downloaded a better one. I know I can't delete it, but the disable button will never highlight so I can' do it. Everytime it hooks up with the bluetooth in my car it links to the factory and I have to open my new app. Is there a way I can set the new app as my default? Thanks

To me the only way is to root the phone to be able to do that...but of if you don't know about rooting I suggest you get an experienced person to do that for you.
