Nexus 6 Infected w/Viruses - How to remove???

[AC Question]

When I did a reboot of my phone, before it started again i got a message that my system has been compromised and i have several viruses that are damaging my phone.

Would doing a complete reset of my phone/system to original settings would get rid of those viruses? Do I need an app for it?

That would be scareware. It's actually the infection by trying to scare you into using some app. Don't touch anything on the popup, just back out of the screen using home button or whatever. Boot up in safe mode and uninstall any app that you installed recently...
