Problem or something easy I'm missing

We got our Razrs yesterday and love them so far. My question is ... the home-menu row lights up on my husbands phone but doesn't on mine. Is there a toggle for this somewhere that I just can't find?

Try rebooting your phone. There isn't a toggle for that, but on every Android I've had, from time to time those buttons don't light up and a hard reboot has fixed it every time.

Thanks Dan that worked sorta. Motorola website said it has to do with ambient lighting but I can still hold 2 Razrs side by side and sometimes mine lights up and sometimes it doesn't. It's not a deal breaker for me though...still think this is going to be a great phone for me.
