Why I can't sign-in my google account from my android phone?

Whenever I enter my email, I get error time and again. I don't even get to see the password field. I have tried everything and it doesn't work. I am using xaiomi mi4i.

Welcome to Android Central! Where exactly are you trying to sign into your Google account? Is this during the main Setup Wizard?

Do you have 2-step authentication turned on for your Google account? If so, turn it off temporarily and try again.
