Phone doesn't ring after Froyo update

I followed the instructions for the manual update. The msg and email alert sounds are fine. However, the phone didn't ring when I received an incoming call. I re-installed the software and all was well until this afternoon. No ring, again?

Does it vibrate when calls arrive?
When you tap the selected ring tone while in settings, you can hear the sound?

And, I have to ask, because you didn't mention it, so don't be insulted..... ;-)
Are you sure the ringer volume is turned up?

Ringer volume is as loud as it can get. No other issues with the phone thus far. I think it must be possessed. The ringer started working this morning.

Not Again!

OTA update to FRF91 and there goes the ringer. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Have you gone into the settings and selected the ring tone again? Maybe it got set to silent for some reason.

The settings haven't changed at all. Temporary fix... Force Stop all market apps. Turn off GPS. Voila, the ringer is back. Notification alerts are okay, the only sound that works consistently. I still believe the N1 is the best phone I've ever owned, in spite of the occasional quirks.
