they had to do something to preempt the iPad mini coming out soon. The nexus' future depends on how aggressively Apple prices the iPad mini. 32 GB for $250 is a good price point.

Probably not since there isn't a serial number on the device (there is one in if you navigate in the settings) but that would be illegal and yes it would be wrong.

Yes because you are essentially stealing. You are taking a product you did not pay for. It's fraud. When Google gets the tablet back and realizes what has happened remember that they have that tablet tied to whatever accounts you have accessed as well as the store it was returned from (video cameras). Is a lawsuit or jail time worth 16GB to you? Don't think it will go that far? Remember it only takes one to make an example of. They didn't make you buy the tablet. It was your choice now eat the "loss".

Thats the rumor that Google is dropping the 8 altogether. And lowering the 16 to 200$ while the 32 will be 250$. And that folks is why i waited to get mine.

That is called a "rock in the box". In a tech store, they might turn on the device since there is no printed serial on the device itself and they will want to match it with the box. You better have a quick tongue if they figure it out, and yes, it is morally wrong.

You're going to really enjoy it. I picked it up just to see what the fuss was about (I'm an admitted Apple user/fan) and really like it. I've been using an iPad since its launch and I will continue to, however, the 7" form factor is great, especially for portability and having full control over customization is too much fun. I kept it stock for about a week before unlocking/rooting/flashing my first ROM (Paranoid Android--great ROM, BTW)--can see how this might cause some problems going forward (as in, too much time spent trying out new ROMS, kernels, etc ).
