Is it possible to have both cellular data (I'm on an unlimited plan) and WiFi active at the same time?
This is for a very specific instance - my drone connects to my phone via WiFi (DJI Phantom 3 Standard) and while this obviously doesn't provide Internet service, I'd like to be able to use cellular data at the same time so I can have realtime map data on the screen.
I've been "precaching" maps before heading out to fly, but this is inconvenient. I'm asking here because we Pixel folk get OS updates quickly, and the discussion in the drone forums say it just isn't possible with Android (but iClowns can do it).
Any insight? The only setting that may do this that I've found (I haven't been able to test it yet) is Settings, Developer Options, Networking, Cellular Data Always Active. It says it's for fast network switching, but I'm not sure what that entails.
