HTC desire 510 keeps restarting and \ or turning off

Just keeps restarting and I have no idea why.

Was the phone recently exposed to water? Leave it powered off for a while and plugged into a charger. Try powering back on and see if that helps.

Have you made any modifications to the phone such as unlocked the bootloader or rooted?

I'm having the same problem. It was just sitting in my pocket when I felt it vibrate. I was in a lecture and unable to look at my phone. Throughout the lecture I kept feeling the phone vibrate. After class I noticed it keeps restarting. It's been doing so for 2 hours now.

I've tried hard resetting it, I've tried taking the battery out, I've tried clearing the caches, no recent apps have been downloaded. I really want to avoid factory reset if possible.

It wasn't dropped, it wasn't near water, it didn't even overheat.

Although I have noticed some folders that were on my homescreen are now gone.

I don't have the latest update, but the phone doesn't stay on long enough for me to be able to update it.
