yet another complete Android Newb question "Peep"

I have friendstream enabled as well as Peep and the Official Twitter client. I went and force stopped Peep. Will that keep it closed for good? I don't want Twitter and Peep both telling me I have new @ mentions and messages!

Can't you just turn off notifications for Peep?

Why don't you uninstall one?

Download uninstaller from the App Marketplace... very useful.
Try that or if you want both, then you might want to try and going into settings if they have anything about notifications.
